Gemfields Walk for Giants x Net-a-Porter

We are pleased to introduce Walk for Giants, a special charitable collaboration and campaign presented by international conservation organization Space for Giants and world-renowned supplier of colored gemstones, Gemfields. Walk for Giants aims to highlight the urgent threats Africa’s wildlife and wild places face. Inspired by the exotic landscapes and magnificent wildlife of Africa, we’ve designed a trio of 18 karat gold, emerald encrusted pieces in a hand-carved giraffe motif, infusing whimsy into our otherwise timeless design style executed through modern and clean silhouettes. Noting that the beautiful giants of Africa move with great grace and dignity, Sandy Leong hopes to bring the same sentiment to the wearer of these one-of-a-kind and handmade pieces.

Gemfields Walk for Giants x Net-a-Porter

Net proceeds from the Gemfields’ Walk for Giants collection will benefit Space for Giants in their ongoing efforts to preserve the African landscapes that serve as home to giant wildlife, while also bringing value to its people and nations via biodiversity, livelihoods and enterprise, new medicines, carbon storage and even the oxygen we breath.

Lunar Collection

The Lunar Collection, centered around conflict-free white diamonds and Gemfields Mozambican rubies, was designed to be worn in times of festivity. Chinese New Year was always a celebratory time in the Leong household, with family coming together, wearing red to warrant prosperity and joy, and decorating themselves in jewelry that had been passed down for generations. Over time Sandy's mother began to pass down some of her most special jewelry pieces. She felt that these precious items should be worn both in moments of celebration as well as in everyday life as a reminder of the importance of family.
